If you keep at it for about an hour, you’ll almost certainly walk away with at least one new Exotic. So while not guaranteed, the drop rate is pretty good. But while the tooltip says “rare” for an Exotic on Legend, we got several Exotics on our first try and the longest dry streak we had was four. It’s worth noting that your Exotic isn’t guaranteed - especially at Legend. This means you have a chance to get an Exotic in that slot if you finish the Lost Sector without any other allies in your Fireteam.Īll six of the new Beyond Light Exotics are either arms or helmets, so you’re looking for a daily Legend Lost Sector with either “(If Solo) Exotic Arms Armor” or “(If Solo) Exotic Helmet Armor.” Complete that Lost Sector for a shot at your new Exotic piece. On Legend and Master, you’ll see a parenthetical that says “If Solo” followed by “Exotic X” (X being an armor slot that rotates each day, like arms or chest). If you’re Exotic hunting, you want to pay attention to the bottom of the tooltip: rewards. On the map icon, you’ll see a list of modifiers meant to make the Lost Sector more difficult. Legend Lost Sectors are 1250 power at Beyond Light’s launch and Master Lost Sectors are 1280. They have a special flag that players can interact with to launch into the difficult version. But just because a Lost Sector is the Legend of Master of the day doesn’t mean that’s the only way to play them that day. These Lost Sectors have special little icons on the map, denoting their added difficulty. We’ve only seen these appear on Europa and the Cosmodrome so far. The only way players have found to get these new Exotics is to solo difficult Lost Sectors.Įach day, there are two, rotating Lost Sectors: a Master Lost Sector and Legend Lost Sector. Instead, Guardians will need to brave some super tough Lost Sectors to pick up Beyond Light’s six new Exotics. But players used to picking up Fated Engrams from Xur or hoping to randomly pick up an Exotic off the ground won’t find these new armor items. There are some powerful pieces this time around, like the Warlock’s Necrotic Grip or the Hunter’s Mask of Bakris. Like most Destiny expansions, Beyond Light comes with a small group of new armor Exotics for players to express themselves.
